The Fire’s starting goalkeeper again showed why he’s one of the league’s brightest young talents as he notched his second clean sheet of the season in MLS Matchday 21.
Starting for Chicago in Kansas City three days after presiding over the net in the team’s 2-1 victory in Portland, Brady was tested throughout the match in a game where Kansas City managed two-thirds of possession and four shots on target, with 13 total shots and a number of other dangerous spells with the ball near Brady. The Fire goalkeeper was responsible for organizing the last line of defense for the team and was sharp throughout, including making a stunning lounging save in the 23’ off of Alan Pulido to keep the match level as the Fire’s early surge faded and the team conceded the majority of possession to the home team.
For his efforts to preserve the clean sheet and secure the Fire’s first back-to-back victories on the road since October 2013, Chris Brady is your Man of the Match.
