The Fire are in their best form of the season so far after having won their last two games in the league. Coming off of the back of these two important wins against the Portland Timbers and Kansas City Sporting, the Fire will be looking to take all nine points from this three-match away trip. This positive form from the Fire has distanced themselves from the bottom of the table and has put them in and around the final playoff spots. Of course, there is still a lot of season left to play, but it has been a dream start to the Fire’s second half of this MLS campaign. While the Fire have been on a winning run, Orlando are winless in their last three games, having lost one and tied two.
In terms of availability for the Fire, it was positive news against Kansas City, as Carlos Téran played for the first time since his injury against St. Louis in mid-May. However, the Fire have lost Federico Navarro through a leg injury, while Chris Mueller and Javier Casas Jr. remain ruled out.
For Orlando City, Mikey Halliday’s injury makes his inclusion questionable while Gastón González, Adam Grinwis, and Abdi Salim are all indefinitely sidelined for tonight’s match. Midfielder César Araújo will also miss tonight’s match through suspension.
