Alex Calabrese
My name is Alex Calabrese, and I am the Editor-in-Chief and Chicago Fire beat reporter for MenInRed97. This will be my third year covering Chicago soccer and the second season covering the Fire and MLS, which will hopefully be more successful than the last! This season, I am looking forward to giving you an inside look at the Men in Red, including extensive gameday coverage and exclusive interviews with both current and former players and coaches. Apart from the Fire and Red Stars, I am a fan of Chelsea and the Cubs, and you can always find me cheering on Syracuse basketball and the (national champion) Orange soccer team!

Christian Hirschboeck
What’s up, my name is Christian Hirschboeck, and I am a staff writer for MenInRed97. This season, I will handle player ratings for every match and sprinkle in some other Fire content here and there. This will be my first notable work covering the Fire, and I cannot wait to get started. I hope to utilize my writing skills to create entertaining, engaging, and informative content for readers while also helping to build the greater Chicago Soccer community as a whole. Outside of Chicago sports, I am also a Bayern Munich supporter and certified Jamal Musiala fanboy. Besides that, I play college footy at Lake Forest College, thrift often, weightlift, and have a hate-love relationship with video games.

Colin Chough
My name is Colin Chough, and I am a staff writer for MenInRed97. This will be my second season covering professional soccer in Chicago, but my first season covering the Fire. In 2022, I covered the Chicago Red Stars for Hot Time in Old Town. From a writing perspective, you can expect match analyses with a tactical focus in addition to other tactically centered articles on the Fire and the Fire’s opponents. Outside of the Fire, I am the captain of my high school soccer team, a massive Tottenham supporter, a ski bum, and an electronic/house music nut.

Tim Hotze
I’m Tim Hotze, and I’m a staff writer for MenInRed97. I’ve been a Fire fan since I was a kid watching DaMarcus Beasley making waves as a young player years before I was living in Chicago. My interest in the club was rekindled in recent years, and I’m looking forward to previewing each match for you along with lots of other Chicago soccer-related content. I’m also a long-term Ottawa Senators and Shrewsbury Town fan for reasons too convoluted to get into now. When not covering the team, there’s a good chance I’ll be hanging out with my two rescue dogs, a pit mix and a cattle dog retriever mix. As a Fire season ticket holder, I’ll be at each home game – come say hi!

John Carollo
Hi there! I’m Jiggly, the Creative Editor for MenInRed97. I’ve been following the Fire since before I was born, but only been writing about them for around 5 years. I’ve previously been known for my SuperDraft scouting and Chicago Red Stars coverage, but nowadays I’m here to write about the more emotional side of the game. With an incoming degree in screenwriting, my goal is to make reading about the Fire fun. Maybe make you cry a bit too, but that’s what watching the Fire does to a person. I’m also a massive weeb, running a YouTube channel about anime and sports. I do music too. But most of the time I’m playing Football Manager.
