MIR97 EXECUTIVE TEAM MEMBERS
Hey all! Born and raised in the suburbs, I graduated from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!!) and currently work in the music brand partnerships industry. I am an avid acoustic guitar player, and the proud future owner of an Australian Shepherd. You can find me walking around Soldier Field schmoozing with all you wonderful Fire fans. Say hi!
Growing up in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago, I fell in love with the Chicago Fire as a child in 2008. As soon as I got my driver's license in 2015, I became a season ticket holder and have been to nearly every home game since. From Blanco to Basti, my Fire passion runs strong. I moved to Milwaukee in 2018 to attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, majoring in Information Science and Technology and minoring in both Business and Psychology. I continue to regularly attend matches at Soldier Field. I work in the IT industry and look to bring my technical skills to keep the website secure and running smoothly. In my free time, I officiate NCAA and semi-pro soccer matches (including MLS Next).
Born into a soccer family in the great city of Chicago, it was almost an inevitability that I would find myself spending my teenage summer afternoons watching the Fire at Bridgeview. Now studying Journalism at Syracuse University, I will be providing you with an inside look at the Chicago Fire, including extensive gameday coverage and exclusive interviews with both current and former players and coaches. My life’s goal is to help grow the Beautiful Game in the United States, and that starts right here in the Windy City.
Born in Iowa and raised in Central Illinois, my first tastes of the Chicago Fire were yearly trips up to Toyota Park with my youth soccer club. Now as a student studying engineering at the University of Missouri, being in a long distance relationship with the Fire is nothing new to me. I can't wait to help create a place for casual fans and diehard supporters alike.
I have taken my two passions of design and soccer and have made it a career. Been a Fire fan since 2014 and have loved the team and the game of soccer ever since. I am extremely excited to see where this project goes and am grateful to be apart of this team.
I’m Tim Hotze, and I've been a Fire fan since I was a kid watching DaMarcus Beasley making waves as a young player years before I was living in Chicago. My interest in the club was rekindled in recent years, and I’m looking forward to previewing each match for you along with lots of other Chicago soccer-related content. I’m also a long-term Ottawa Senators and Shrewsbury Town fan for reasons too convoluted to get into now. When not covering the team, there’s a good chance I’ll be hanging out with my two rescue dogs, a pit mix and a cattle dog retriever mix. As a Fire season ticket holder, I’ll be at each home game – come say hi!
The Fire came into my life later than most at MIR. I was finishing my degree at the conclusion of the 2014 World Cup. I needed more soccer at that point and supporting the local club was the only option that made any sense. With no memories of the glory days, I hope to help build a community of supporters that push the club into a new Golden Era. That starts at home by watching every Fire match with my two young girls, and continues with creating quality content for Fire supporters. You can find me most weekends behind a mixing console, or if you're lucky you'll find me in the kitchen cooking a great meal; my wife didn't marry me for my looks!
